can everyday builds get into UW?
hi there ^^; sorry if this is in the wrong area e.t.c.
anywho, i'm completely new to the Underworld, i know it's made up of quests, no henchmen e.t.c. anyway i was bored and tried the first little area with a spirit spammer rit and 3 heroes, the heroes died but i survived, almost completing the clear the chamber quest (minimised GW and died). so i was wondering would players let me into a group with any old build that worked well?
for instance if i was a WoH monk could i get into a group that wasn't going for a speed clear? or do i have to be in with the perma sins and specific UW builds?

Hey, as well gz on the start . Well for UW/Speed Clear u hsould get a perma. If you're a WoH monk even non-speedclear group will accept u probably. U should make a perma, read some guides and start thinking of doing UWSC . GL and HF!

To answer your question, yes, some people like to form "old school underworld groups", and you would have no problem getting into one of these groups if you're a monk

I think your problem won't be getting into groups, it will be finding groups. By nature the underworld/Fissure of woe are designed to be some of the hardest areas in the game, and for a balanced group, this is true, although some of it is easily do-able, a few of the quests and areas are exceptionally hard for balanced groups. Certainly in hard mode, running a balanced group and suceeding would be next to impossible without incredible planning and concentration. The reason why there are hardly any of these groups is because it is a choice between taking possibly 2-3 hours to clear it in Normal Mode with a fair amount of planning and skill, or you can get 7 permas and a necro in about 5 minutes and complete the whole thing in hard mode in about 20.
Very few groups run balanced UW and so you are going to find it incredibly tricky to find one. If you really want to do underworld i would recommend a perma or necro for UWSC.

Permasins are cheap to make nowadays after the many SF nerfs. I remember when Sup. Shadow Arts runes were 20K each from players because the rune traders were all sold out.
But if you do decide to make a Permasin, then you have to get a few PvE skills for most SC groups and you need to know what your doing. The sad thing about any SC is... if you have no experience no one will take you... if no one will take you, then you wont get experience.
Maybe you just want to wait till SF is nerfed (sometime between today and the next 1337 years) and join the random pug groups that will start up then. Being an Ele will help a lot then because of the Obsidian flesh builds.
